Freshman Marie Marshall Advances to Northwest Regional Finals
Congratulations to Marie!  She finished 12th in the district and will compete in Charlottesville, VA on 11/3 at the Northwest Regional Finals.  She is the 1st female from Stonewall Jackson to do so since 2006.

Team Results
9/15/2011 Tri Meet: Stonewall vs. Osbourn and Patriot

Despite a rough start, Stonewall Jackson performed well on their 2nd of 4 meets in 2 weeks.  The girls finished 2nd lead by sophmore Andreina Orzoco (3rd place) with a 24:54.
The boys won the meet with senior Michael Squires coming in 1st with a 19:08 and junior Matt Graham finishing 3rd with a 20:08.
An interesting "relays under the lights" at Lake Braddock High School is coming up on Saturday, 9/17.
8/28/2011 GREAT MEADOWS INVITATIONAL

What a great start to the season!  With over 1/3 of our boys being out for the race, you'd think that would lessen SJXC morale.  However, each runner did fantastic. 

Sam Keltz and David Ortega lead the freshman/sophmore race dropping a combine time of 6:45.

JV Jr/Sr race was lead by Robert Blibo.  The team had it's best finish in years. 13th of 16 teams and dropping an astounding 1:33 off the team average from last year.

Varsity runners reached new heights as well.  Michael Squires lead the boys team with an 18:26 to finish 7th and receive a medal. The team finished 8th and dropped 21 seconds off of last year's team average despite losing 3 varsity runners that graduated last year.

Not to be out done by the boys, the girls varsity team dropped a glorious 9 minutes 33 seconds in total from this year's practice races and all 5 had best times.  Leading the way, freshman Marie Marshall finished 5th in 22:29.

We look forward to having our entire team compete at Judges Classic on September 10th.  Go Raiders!
